Ranma 1/2: Ranma No More Alternate History By: Dani Yanega yanega@mindspring.com (please respond to this e-mail address) Chapter Fourteen Standing around the unconscious boys the six monks from the ship, hold their arms up over their heads chanting in an archaic tongue. While they chant the cursed boys start shape shifting, while still clasping each others left hand. As their sifting becomes quicker, they begin to glow, in a light of the purest of white. The light is so bright it seems the sun is sitting on the earth. The monks start chanting faster and louder, the faster they chant the faster Ranma and Ryoga change in sync with the chants. The white light grows surrounding Ranma, Ryoga and the monks in a sphere of pure white light. While the chanting continues the white of the light slowly darkens gradually changing from the purest of whites to the blackest of blacks. As the monks continue to chant, the color of the light now rotates with the change of the boys, shifting from black and cursed forms to white and normal forms. In the center of light sphere Ranma and Ryoga are floating four feet off the ground still clasping hands, it is as if even in their unconsciousness they are each other's lifelines to reality. Then abruptly the chanting stops when the flashing light fades from around the two boys, the monks are again nowhere to be seen, while Ranma and Ryoga are on the ground still with their hands clasped but they are glowing in the flashing color of white and black. /*\*/*\ A ship from China heads into the Japanese harbor a three hundred plus year old Amazon matriarch and four Amazon warriors, two of which are sixteen, and the other two about twenty five. All four turn heads as they strode off the ship. They were all buxom, beauties but also very deadly ones. <"Where do we go first Elder?"> one of the twenty-five-year old asks. She has long cyan hair down to mid thigh pulled into a loose ponytail. She is nearly six feet tall, and like with all Joketsuzoku Amazons very shapely. Her eyes match her hair perfectly, like the other three Amazons she wears a silk Chinese cut pant suit, cut tight but not too much, so there was freedom of movement and Kung Fu slippers. Her outfit is sunshine yellow, and she has dragons embroidered on in it. <"Well Cy Sin I think we should do some surveillance on the Saotome home, to see if Great nephew has been there yet, after we are settled."> Answers the two-foot Amazon poached on top of a five-foot long walking stick. The five of them head into Tokyo's business district. Ku Lon tries to pickup any residual traces of her great nephew's ki. /*\*/*\ In Nerima District, we see Genma enter the gate of a residence. On the wall is a sign that reads 'TENDO DOJO - SCHOOL OF ANYTHING GOES MARTIAL ARTS'. He is glad he _found_ that thermos and filled it with hot water. It wouldn't do to show up at Tendo's as a panda. He stands on the front step and knocks on the door. Soon a young woman comes to the door. "Yes, may I help you?" She is a lovely young woman about nineteen. She has soft brown eyes, and long brown hair tied in a ponytail draped over her shoulder. Genma bows, to the young woman then with a smile, he asks her. "I am Saotome Genma, is Tendo-san at home?" "Yes please won't you come in." The young woman smiles, and steps aside to allow Genma entry. Genma enters the house and removes his shoes at the door. The young woman asks him to wait at the door, while she disappears into the house. A minute later a tall man with shoulder length brown hair, with a long drooping mustache, comes to the front door. He is about the same height as Genma, but much thinner. He is wearing a brown gi. He appears to be the same age as Genma also. "SAOTOME!" The man latches onto to the heavy martial artist, crying buckets of tears. He is crying so much that the tears trigger Genma's curse. Genma tries not to scream as he changes shape, he grits his teeth, and lets out a low moan. It is several minutes before Tendo Soun realizes that his friend has been replaced by something big and furry. He looks up into the face of a seven-foot panda. "AAAAAAAAAAAA!" Soun passes out. Genma picks up his thermos, he cringes as he douses himself with the still hot water inside, reverting him to human form. "GgggrroowwAAAAAAA!" His growling scream follows Tendo's. He collapses to one knee wrapping his arms around himself. When the pain is finally gone, he picks up his friend to carry him back into the house proper. When three young girls come running into the room. /*\*/*\ After leaving the realtors office the five Amazons head to their new home in Japan. <"Great grandmother why did you bye us a place to stay? We aren't going to be here forever are we?"> Xian Pu inquires of her great grandmother. <"No granddaughter, when we leave I will leave this building and business in Great nephew's capable hands to keep running..."> <"Hmpft, leave a man in charge of Amazon property it isn't right, Elder!"> The other twenty-five year old states, with great distaste. She has long orange red hair that goes to her waist, which she lets hang loose. Her eyes are a deep emerald green. She is almost as tall as Cy Sin, around 5' 9". Her pantsuit is a deep midnight blue, but has no embroidery on it. In a blur of motion Ku Lon is off her staff, and has whacked the woman on the back of her head with it. Then backs balancing on top it in a matter of seconds. The Amazon turns and glares at the elder. <"_Do Not_ question your Elders Che Ri, he is not _only_ a man, he is a man who has melded with the spirit of a female Amazon which according to the counsel's degree makes him more woman then man."> She states flatly. They soon reach the outer limits of the business district where their new home is located. They head toward a large building complex, that has a FOR SALE sign in the window. the building is Located near a very familiar wooded area. Ku Lon pulls out her key, and opens the door and the five women go inside. Once inside Cy Sin removes the FOR SALE sign from the window. /*\*/*\ Genma sits at the dinning table surrounded by Soun and his three daughters. He has introduced them to his friend. The eldest who had answered the door is named Kasumi, the next eldest is Nabiki, she has short hair cut even with her jaw line, her hair is brown like her older sister's, and her eyes are a lighter shade of brown. Nabiki makes Genma nervous it's as if she can read his mind and knows he is not telling the truth. The last daughter and the martial artist, Akane. She like Kasumi has long hair tied in a ponytail over her shoulder but its color is a blue black, and her eyes are a deep chocolate brown. She is glaring at Genma with open hostility. [Maybe we should have waited to tell the girls about the promise to marry one of them off to Ranma. At least till after we found the insolent boy.] Genma thinks as he gulps under the combined stares of Nabiki and Akane. "I am not getting engaged to some _perverted JERK_!" Fumes Akane as she crosses her arms over her chest. "All boys are _perverts_!" "Now Akane that is not nice, you haven't even met the boy." Her father tries to explain. "I DON'T CARE, I AM NOT MARRYING SOME LOSER OF A JERK!!" She screams into her father's and Genma's faces. "Oh, look Saotome she hasn't even met him and already she's fighting for him." Soun starts to bawl again. Nabiki just rolls her eyes and Akane storms out of the room. She runs upstairs and her bedroom slams door shut as she enters. Kasumi just watches calmly. "So tell me Mr. Saotome, is your son also cursed?" Nabiki asks, eyes gleaming with anticipation of the yen that would bring in. Genma stutters "N..no, no he is not." He starts to sweat at the intensity of Nabiki's stare. "And why did he leave you in China?" "He got possessed, all we got do is exercise the spirit and I will have contr..my son back." Nabiki raises an eyebrow as she catches the mistake which seems to soar over the heads of her father and sister Kasumi. "I see." She responds coldly. /*\*/*\ The Amazons begin to look around the complex. They notice it is not large as complexes go, but for them it will work great. The main floor was divided into two sections, the smaller side was a restaurant, while the other was setup as a store, with racks shelves and such. <"What are we going to be doing with this place Elder?"> Asks La Si, she had begged her great grandmother Mas Cra to allow her to come with her friend Xian Pu, Mas Cra finally gave in when Xian Pu joined in. La Si is sixteen, she is just as skilled in the martial arts as Xian Pu but not quite her level. She stands 5' 7" and has long dark pink hair that goes to her knees, which she keeps in a braid. She has deep blue eyes, they are so dark they are almost black. Like her other Amazon sisters she is very shapely and also wares the tight fitting Chinese pant suits, hers is designed similar to Xian Pu's. Xian Pu's is pink with lavender trim. While La Si's is Lavender with pink trim, it makes people who did not know the girls think they were twin sisters. Ku Lon always liked the friendship between the girls and knew it would benefit them when they take her and Mas Cra's place on the counsel. <"Well La Si, we will open a restaurant and call it the Nekohanten, the other side will be an emporium of Amazon goods we will sell. It will be called Amazon Emporium. I think that we will call this complex the Joketsuzoku Village."> She smiles at that thought. When Cy Sin asks her. <"Elder, what kind of goods, we have nothing here?"> Ku Lon looks at her, thoughtfully for a moment, then explains. <"We on the counsel decided this would be the type of building we..."> She points to the five of them, <"would purchase then they will gather from our artisans back home items they wish to sell on consignment. They will be shipped here to us. We then sell the items and fifty-five percent will be returned to the Amazon who made the item, and we will pocket the thirty-five percent. The last ten-percent will go to the Japanese government to cover taxes, building fees, and such. Our percentage will go for the maintenance of these premises and supplies to survive here. It also helps that when other Amazons come to Japan they will work here as well as live here."> <"So when do you expect our first shipment Elder?"> Che Ri inquires of the Amazon Elder. <"I will send a message to the counsel and they will get everything sent to us in about a month or so. Which is good we will by then have this place clean and ready to go. It will also give us time to work out how we will keep track of who's items are who's."> Ku Lon pauses for a moment to gather her thoughts then she continues. <"I think Xian Pu will work the restaurant, and you others will help when things are slow in the Emporium. Since each of you has a talent the counsel felt would be best suited to the our new venture."> The young Amazons look at her confusion written on their faces. <"Cy Sin is a seamstress, and some of the stock will be hers, she will handle alterations on the garments from the others from the village. In addition, if people need alterations on garments they already own she can do that as well. Che Ri is our leather artisan and can make repairs to leather goods brought in for repair and make repairs to Amazon goods as well as make items to sell. Now for La Si she is extremely talented when it comes to ceramics and porcelain objects, and figurines. She can sell those from the village and like you other two make new ones here and yes you get fifty-five percent of anything of yours sold, _but_ like the Amazons back in the village you are responsible for your own supplies, shipping and handling. _BUT_ do not just sell your things or you will not be permitted to sell them any longer. La Si can also fix broken ceramics, and from what her great grandmother tells me she can fix them so well that you can't even tell they were broken."> La Si blushes at the compliment. <"Now for the second floor about one third will be for storage, and the rest of the rooms will be converted to workshops for you and any other Amazons that come. The third to the fifth floors will be converted to living space, a community living area, bedrooms and an office for me. I also think that since you four have been working with the computers those visiting doctors bring, you will help in keeping the inventory on one and keeping track of the business until you can show me how to use the contraption."> She finishes. Che Ri asks the elder. .<"_But_ Elder isn't this going to cost a lot of capital to get started? I mean we need to buy equipment, the computer, supplies for the restaurant, furniture, fixtures, our supplies..."> Before she could go on Ku Lon holds up a hand. <"Don't forget child we Amazons have access to precious gem stone minds not to mention the horde of ancient gold coins. Plus most of our stock will come from Joketsuzoku, so we will not need to buy to much from here."> The two older Amazons nod, while the two younger ones just look confused and awed at the same time.
