The fight with Saffron changed Ranma, he begins to notice new powers within him. When meditating he can discern evil and good. He is however confused and uncertain what they are and if they were what helped him beat Saffron.

Leo tells the Charmed ones of Ranma's exsistance. Leo and Piper's marriage and the discovery of Paige, gave another white lighter strength to come forward. She was attacked by a black lighter and raped. She didn't want to harm the child since it was not his fault so she gave him up for adoption.

She was of Japanese decent. She, Kyoko will be going with Leo and the Charmed one to reclaim her son before his father can turn him to his darker hertage. Ranma is basically good but his life has been such a turmoil of betrayal and chaos that his true father might win.

Kyoko never mentioned it to anyone and the black lighter does not yet know but if Ranma starts to use his growing powers he will soon find out about the boy.

The group disappears via white lighter powers and reappears across from the Tendo Dojo. Kyoko has kept tabs on her son and knows of his curse she explains it to her companions as the redhead storms from the gates of the Tendo compound battered and bruised.

Kyoko waits until her child settles under the bridge, her favorite place to go and think. Then the five appear to Ranma. Ranma takes a ready stance as Kyoko alone steps forward. Ranma relaxes slightly for some reason she can't understand.

Kyoko then explains to her child her hertage. Ranma at first is shocked, then enraged, then feels betrayed, and finally a feeling of deep depression.

Kyoko watches and feels her son/daughter's pain. She steps forward and holds out her arms. Ranma looked at her supsicion clouding her eyes. Kyoko tells her child that she had to give her up to protect her from not only the black but white lighters, but that with the changes happening she is now able to claim him/her as hers. If Ranma wants her too!

Ranma's eyes open wide at for the first time someone is actually letting her choose. Ranma looks down to the ground for a moment her mind in turmoil. She then looks up and decides, she rushes forward and hugs her mother tightly. Both Kyoko and Ranma crying.

It is then that Ranma's father shows a red headed man with cold cruel eyes of ice blue. He smiles sardonically at the scene. He raises his black lighter bow at Kyoko and pulls the trigger releasing it.

Ranma sensing the incoming missle instinctivly jumps away pulling his newly found mother with her. The bolt shoots past heading straight for Leo. Ranma quickly moves, by shooting a chi blast at the bolt, not destroying it as she hoped but knocking it off course. It ended up, embedded in a pilons of the bridge.

Ranma turns to face the black lighter and hears her mother gasp out he is Ranma's father. Ranma's eyes narrow as she begins to glow with not only white lighter power but black lighter power as well.

The white lighters stare in confusion as Ranma's powers manifest in a different manner then normal for either side. They watch as Ranma fires of a ball of lighter power both black and white at her father. The power hits the black lighter knocking him back some forty feet leaving him burned and unconscious.

The group then orbs to the nearby park and explain they need Ranma's help the Source is getting closer to killing the Charmed One's and they fear they can not hold out much longer, alone with out her help. Ranma stands and walks away from the group her mind thinking. This has been a confusing day for Ranma.

She finds she is not a Saotome, and what that brings. It releases from her/him from all they have dumped on her. She has also been given the right to choose her destiny now. To help or not help the three witches. Her mind is so deep in thought she does not feel the arrival of her mother, until she places her hand on her childs shoulder.

Ranma looks up and smiles and agrees to join the battle of her young life. After all if she can kill an immortal demi God what does the Source have that can stop her. Her cocky smile slowly appearing on her face.

Ranma does want to say good bye to everyone and tell them all of the new developements. They tell she can not reveal her powers as a white/black lighter. Ranma corrects Leo and with a smile calls herself a Gray Lighter. She agree to keep their and the Charmed Ones secret from all, but she warned them Cologne and Happosai might be a problem.

The ensuing CHAOS goes here (writers choice). Adventures in america with Charmed Ones, Leo and Kyoko. Ranma's black lighter father adds to problems as he either tries to kill Leo and Kyoko while trying to corrupt Ranma. Ranma learns to control her curse finding keeping it can be helpful as a surprise tactic and as a secret identity thing.
